2 rockling fillets
1 tbs light soy sauce
1 tbs hoisin sauce
1 tbs lemon juice
½ tsp garlic, minced
1 tsp sambal oelek
1 tsp palm sugar syrup (or ½ tsp brown sugar)
1 spring onion, thinly sliced on the diagonal
Half fill a wok or large saucepan (that fits a steamer basket) with water and bring to the boil (you can use a conventional steamer, if you have one). Place fish in a bowl that fits into the steamer.
Combine remaining ingredients and pour over fish. Pop bowl in the steamer, cover with a lid and steam for 4-6 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork.
