Rainbow Chard Replacement

I'm a more than a week behind on the menu, and am having problems sourcing the Rainbow Chard that is in week 2. (I have looked in 3 nearby supermarkets.)
What can I use as a replacement for this??

Re: Rainbow Chard Replacement

PrincessDi, try substituting it with spinach or kale.

Re: Rainbow Chard Replacement

I couldn't find chard anywhere either except for some baby chard in lettuce mixture at coles. I agree with Yeo for substitute. I  believe that chard is like the leaves on beetroot but wouldn't use these. Maybe the experts can tell us more about chard and what is its worth and where to purchase this vegetable.

Hi Princessdi,

For more information on rainbow chard go to http://www.weighitup.com.au/nutrition-health/rainbow-chard.

Rainbow chard is the same at silver beet. If you are still struggling to find it, you can use spinach.

Re: Rainbow Chard Replacement

I found a wonderful natural food store, it sells EVERYTHING we need, so if anyone happens to live on the Sunshine Coast, this is the place to go.  http://www.thenaturalfoodstore.com.au/
