Re: Swisse Slimshake - Iodine

Hi Veronica,

I am sorry but without knowing your entire diet I can not make a judgement call on this. I recommend making an appointment with your doctor or dietitian to discuss this further.

Re: Swisse Slimshake - Iodine

Thanks for responding Haley. I have found that lots of vitamin supplements and diet shakes contain iodine. I don't know of any shake that doesn't contain it. Do you have any suggestions of what I could use to replace it with?

Re: Swisse Slimshake - Iodine

Thanks Hayley... (closet chemist... well actually I really am a chemist (industrial)).. I found this thread helpful as it reminded me to look for iodated salt... when next I need salt... I dont eat bread or much grain and have stopped dairy this year due to whey intolerance and am looking for ways to boost my iodine... I bought some dulse seaweed but havent found it very nice in cooking although I did read you can sprinkle it on pizza (corn tortilla ones  for me)!

Re: Swisse Slimshake - Iodine

Hi Lil,

Slimshake is a really great product as it provides high levels of protein as well as a range of vitamins and minerals. It is also a good source of iodine which is deficient in a large number of people.

However, in your case I would recommend skim milk powder as it is lower in iodine and still high in protein.

I hope this helps.
