I know that hill, my mum lives down that way. Hope you enjoy the day and your breakfast afterwards.... I dont think I could have had a worst week - woke up with an inflamed shoulder on Monday then had to take cross country training that night due to the usual trainer having to take her child for an emergency xray - could hardly breathe without pain on Tues morning - got a bit better with remedial massage and a yoga class but then got food poisoning so sick wed arvo and up all night which made the shoulder worse, just coming good now but still dont feel up to exercise.... oh well, the best laid plans and all

On no - not good at all.  The shoulder injury is painful enough without the food poisoning on top.  Hope you are back to health quickly.
And let's hope the rain holds off in the morning!

Re: Run, Run, 61.

First fun run of the new era! And it was a fun morning - huge number of people, a warm up aerobics session and heaps faster than when I did the course on Friday. And even better the rain stopped! Next year maybe the 8.2km

Yay Kaz, I noticed the rain held off early. I was looking forward to hearing how you went! Well done! Nothing like the real thing to speed you up I guess!
I am getting better, went for a short run yesterday and shoulder became so painful afterwards but slept on a heat pack and lots better today! Short walk at lunch time only today. Are you feeling sore at all???

Re: Run, Run, 61.

Rub some nurofen or something similar into it -I use Isogel which is actually a horse linament.
Probably tired rather than sore - I didn't pull up any worse than normal so I was happy with that.  Having done the course twice in 3 days probably helped but I was still pretty nervous as I not used to being with so many other people.  Hubby met me on the finish line with a coffee - the silly people sprinkled chocolate on my latte so I couldn't drink it.  He didn't get a photo though which was disappointing.
