The list was endless and included lots of good food! Things like garlic, onions, cabbage, broccoli, spinach and much more. I was shocked. Good luck with it all Justine - you are doing so well. Salicylates are in so many good foods too - very frustrating for you. |

I was shocked to find that I had gained around 1 kilo whilst I wasn't walking due to this flu thing I have ( almost 5 weeks since I got first symptoms)- I only missed about 6 or 7 days all told but did have a few too many drinks, etc and ate out a couple of times. Got such a shock last Monday when I got on the scales that I piked out and did not log my weight. Have made a big effort this week, especially with walking, and carefully keeping track of food calories, and I have lost the weight I gained plus .4 :)This week Is going to be a GOOD one. NO alcohol at all, an I have done the "Dry July" for 2 years now so will try hard to complete it as well. I hope everyone has a good result this week- you deserve it. :D |

I am happy with this week after a strange one last week - mine went up a little after a weekend away where I exercised more than usual, but my diet was a bit all over the place and had a couple of g&t's. Luckily today I have lost that and more! |

I usually like to do the dry months but sorry July is my birthday month... happy to have the other months (except December!) dry but not July :(That will be an extra kilo or so gone for you then sandyann... good luck! Thanks Jayne and Ange. I dont usually take painkillers but if I do I have gone for codeine and paracetamol. My kids are a bit sensitive but other than avoiding artificial sweeteners and swapping wheat products where ever it doesnt matter (eg rice crackers rather than dry biscuits and the corn flat bread rather than wheat flat bread etc)they manage okay... in a windy way lol. I was quite strict on the silly salates for a week and felt good then added in some of the salad ones - still okay but 2 days ago had beetroot and watermelon and blew up like a balloon and skin has really flared up so am on to something I reckon! The good thing is it makes me realise how well I am when I plan and eat the right things! so not all bad! |

The calories per day based on my BMR is around 1400 plus extra for exercise- the only exercise I log is my brisk walks. i.e today 80 minutes brisk walking which then "allows' you extra cals which for me was 443. I decided to google some other places and see what numbers they came up with, based on my normal info/exercise. These are the daily cals allowed from 4 places I visited:_ 2295; 2159; 1783; 1363. The lowest one was a bit of a shock. :>O Anyway I am just going with the one I am on. Have already logged all of my food, snacks, and included what I'm having for dinner and am still under by around 370. Trying hard to be extra good this week, although going to the club buffet Sunday lunchtime- cousin I haven't seen for 40 years is coming to visit our family....... |
